Captain Mike Clark is a USCG Licensed Captain possessing a 100 Ton Master license with Assistance Towing Endorsement.  As the son of a Navy Admiral, Captain Mike had the opportunity to grow up around the water, fishing a wide variety of water from the time he was 10 years old.  While in college, Captain Mike worked as a deckhand on the commercial fishing vessel Marion Frances, fishing out of Barnegat Light, NJ. 

After college, Captain Mike left commercial fishing and became the Head Swimming Coach at Marymount University for 30 years.  During his time at Marymount, Mike started, grew and sold several successful and profitable businesses, including Clark Aquatic Services(pool management and service), The Clark Swim Club(competitive swim team), the Marymount Swim School(swimming lessons).  Mike sold these businesses upon retirement from college coaching in 2019. In 2020, Mike was inducted into the Marymount University Athletic Hall of Fame.

In 2007. Mike purchased a 37’ Egg Harbor Sport Fisher for personal use on the Chesapeake Bay and Lower Potomac River.  Mike became widely recognized in Southern Maryland/Lower Potomac as an excellent fisherman.  In 2015, Mike earned his USCG 50 Ton Masters License and was upgraded in 2021 to 100 Ton Masters License.  Mike sold the Egg Harbor in 2019 with a planned move to Florida.  From 2019 – 2024, Mike has owned, operated, and sold 2 other boats. 

In 2020, Mike and his wife returned to Northern Virginia during the summer months and lived Key West, Fl in the winter months. During their time in Northern Virginia, Mike was the Director of Member Safety and Training for the Freedom Boat Club of Northern Virginia and a Captain for TowBoatUS.  Additionally, he operated many other boats ranging in size from 20 feet to 80 feet.

In October of 2023, Mike and his wife, Theresa Louise, relocated to the Harvey’s Neck region of the Northern Neck.
